Hayden Buckley holds a 54-hole lead/co-lead for the first time in his career at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

At 15-under 195, he sets his career-best 54-hole score on the PGA TOUR (previous: 200, twice/most recent: 2022 ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP).

He carded two eagles (Nos. 10 and 18) for the third time in a round on TOUR (most recent: R2/2022 Fortinet Championship).

His best finish on TOUR came at 2021 Sanderson Farms Championship (T4).

Finished T12 in 2022 in lone appearance at the Sony Open in Hawaii, and is seeking his first career PGA TOUR title in his 40th career start.

Two-time Sony Open in Hawaii runner-up (2014, 2021) Chris Kirk (T2) posted 2-under 68 after double-bogey start on No. 1; seeks fifth career TOUR victory and first since 2015 Charles Schwab Challenge.

At 13-under 197, David Lipsky (T2) topped his previous-best low 54-hole score on TOUR by four strokes (201/2022 AT&T Byron Nelson); seeks first career TOUR win (best finish: T4/2022 Zurich Classic of New Orleans with partner Aaron Rai).

In third tournament start, Ben Taylor (T2) posted a career-best 54-hole score on TOUR with 13-under 197 (previously: 199/2022 Cadence Bank Houston Open); in search of first career TOUR victory (best finish: 3rd/2022 Cadence Bank Houston Open).

2019 Sony Open in Hawaii runner-up Andrew Putnam (T5) set a career-best 10 birdies in a round en route 8-under 62, tying his career-low round on TOUR (twice prior: 62/R1/2022 ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP; 62/R1/2019 Sony Open in Hawaii); seeks his second career TOUR victory (2018 Barracuda Championship).

2017 PLAYERS Championship winner Si Woo Kim sits T5 following 6-under 64; in search of fourth career TOUR victory and first since 2021 American Express.

Defending champion Hideki Matsuyama (T25) carded 5-under 65 to notch his 14th consecutive under-par round at the Sony Open in Hawaii, the longest active streak at the event.
