Hudson Swafford came from behind to claim his third career PGA Tour victory and second at The American Express.

The win comes 5 years, 1 day after his 2017 American Express title.

Tom Hoge finished runner-up for the second time in his 201st start.

The 54-hole co-leader and Tour rookie Lee Hodges secured his best career Tour finish at T3.

Korea’s Sungjae Im closes with a 66 to finish T11, his third successive top-12 finish at the tournament. Moves up to third on the FedExCup standings.

Swafford entered the final round trailing by three strokes and closed with an 8-under 64 in the final round for a two-stroke victoy at 23-under 265  at the age of 34 years, 4 months, 14 days.

With the win, he earned 500 FedExCup points and moves to No. 7 in the standings.

His other PGA Tour victories: 2017 American Express, 2020 Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship. He becomes the ninth player with at least two victories at The American Express.

Brian Harman (T3/-20) earned his third top-10 finish (T3/2017, T8/2021) in 10 starts at The American Express.

Lanto Griffin (T3/-20) recorded third top-10 finish of the season (T6/Shriners Children’s Open, T7/ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP).

Reigning FedExCup Champion and runner-up of last year’s event Patrick Cantlay (9th/-18) records second top-10 finish in as many starts this season (4th/Sentry Tournament of Champions).

World No. 1 and 2018 American Express champion Jon Rahm closed with a 1-under 71 to finish T14.

Defending champion Si Woo Kim finished T11 in attempt to become the event’s first player to successfully defend his title at The American Express since Johnny Miller (1975-1976).
