Sukhman Singh, Zara Anand, Ranveer Mitroo do DGS proud at 9th NCR Cup

Delhi Golf Society’s (DGS) Camp of Excellence students Sukhman Singh, Ranveer Mitroo and Zara Anand left their mark on the NCR Cup 9th Junior Golf Tournament, presented by DGS, which culminated at AEPTA Dhaula Kuan on Thursday.

Sukhman (220) completed a wire-to-wire win with a final day 3-under 69 to win A Boys by a eight-shot margin over Yash Chaudhary 228 (77, 76, 75). Sukhman also won the Category A & B combined, like Zara.

Zara too finished on an under-par note for a start-to-finish win. At 213 (71, 72, 70), she was a comfortable winner in B Girls with a 16-shot cushion over Riya Jadon 229 (75, 79, 75).

A Girls witnessed a three-way tie at 239, and it was Aditi Bhardwaj who kept her nerve to win over Keya Badugu. Amreen Sandhu, who was also part of the playoff, finished third.

In B Boys, Ranveer carded his best round of the week to finish at 229 (78, 76, 75) for a one-shot win over practice partner Udai Aditya Middha 230 (77, 78, 75).

In Amateur Boys, Vijayant Pundir 224 (76, 75, 73) completed a wire-to-wire win for a resounding win over Yash Suhag 242 (81, 77, 84).

Siddhaan Chhibber was the winner in C Boys with a two-day total of 159 (84, 75). Mudit Aggarwal (162) and Chaitanya Pandey (163) were next in order.

Naina Kapoor 156 (79, 77) completed a 10-shot win in C Girls over Shiksha Jain 166 (83, 83). Rehnoor Malik finished at 168.

With scores of 84, 70, Zorawar Sandhu was the top name in D Boys. Three shots back at 157 was Krishnav Gupta (82, 75), and was followed by Raajveer Suri at 158.

Ojaswini Saraswat had a disappointing day with a 74 but the Round 1 69 was enough to hand her the crown in D Girls. There was a big gap in between as Dalisha Chetry finished at 166, followed by Abner Sengar at 187.

Avviraj Kalia shot identical 40s to win E Boys with a one-shot margin at 80. Upraj Singh Mehendiratta (81) and Ojasv Saraswat (82) were separated by a shot.

Dhriti Singh (87), Rehana Malik (93) and Juno Kalyani (99) made up the E Girls podium.
