Writer’s note – In 2018, Rahil Gangjee broke through to win on the Japan Golf Tour by one shot. It was arguably a career year for the Bengaluru-based professional golfer. The victory came on this day, three years ago the 22nd of April 2018.

I wrote this piece for the Tolly Tadler Summer 2019 edition which was published in June of that year. The Tadler is the in-house magazine of The Tollygunge Club Pvt. Ltd. in Kolkata. Our thanks to Mr. Sumit Ray, Tadler editor 2019 for allowing us to republish this feature.
